I recently bought some power line adapters to replace the wireless card in my computer and was wondering whether there is any software available that i can download to let me use the wireless card to broadcast the internet connection from the power line adapters

Power line transmission is truly a lousy idea. It has many disadvantages including reliability problems, RFI/EMI radiations.

Putting high speed data modulation on a low frequency high power line is simply a terrible idea.

That said, I am not sure if it possible. Windows connection sharing gives you what you want but I don't know if two computers can connect via WIFI without a router in between.

If you're running Windows, you can do it straight from the "Network Connections" page by sharing the ethernet connection and bridging the two (wireless and ethernet). I have never tried it, but if you search on Google there are many instructions you can follow.

You can also try software called Connectify.

However, that being said, you should look into getting a wireless router, because it makes things much more simple (and your desktop doesn't have to be turned on to use the WiFi).

I have a virgin wireless router but the signal isn't very good in my room so i just wanted to use my computer to get a better connection.
