i think that will just freeze my cpu
damn these are some quick replies
  4. Not if you're careful.

Some guy got an AMD CPU (I forget which model - it was an A series though I think - maybe a 5800k? I dunno) to 8ghz using liquid nitrogen.

If you live in America, Liquid Nitrogen is easy to get hold of, and I've heard it's actually pretty cheap. I don't know exactly how you'd go about utilizing it to actually cool your CPU though.

I know, I also live in the UK :(

Don't mention w33d btw, it's against the rules to mention drugs. I'd edit it out if I were you, tbh.

In all seriousness now though, the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo is one of the best air coolers of all time. It's reasonably priced too - about £22.
  7. what about h100i
  8. Yesh, the h100i is superb.

    ...Pricey tho innit.

I don't like the thought of watercooling tbh. I was thinking about doing it once, because I'm young and reckless (aka foolish), then realised that it's not worth the possibility of leaks.

    your scarring me now
  10. Mate, watercooling isn't worth it unless you have the money to replace anything that might get damaged.

Of course, the risk is actually minimal, so I wouldn't worry about it :)

    ok thx for the help
  12. Hi
Just thought you might be interested but overclockers.co.uk has liquid nitrogen cpu blocks and other fittings, look under water cooling then extreme cooling.
  13. I feel so stupid! I actually looked up W33D thinking it was some sort of exotic British designer drug. Doh!

    haha!

No sir, just a guise for the "proper word".
  15. Any form of liquid cooling.

    Common misconception, good sir.

Low-end watercooling isn't as effective as most air solutions, and is often more expensive as well.

For example, the Corsair H40 isn't as good as a CM Hyper 212 Evo, but costs almost twice as much as the latter.
