LG BD drive will rip but won't play?

I have an LG UH12LS29 BD drive(not burner) that is about 7 months old. It has recently started randomly popping and cutting out both vid and sound on both DVD and BD. Now it is just constant kind of stuttering/cutting out. I can rip BD's just fine, but can no longer play them. Any ideas? Drivers are up to date.

You need update the firmware and AACS (Advanced Access Content System) key time to time so that you can play the Blu-ray movies because the software/firmware key needed to decrypt and play the movie requires updating every 18 months.

That link looks like it is for stand alone BD players? I am talking about an internal BD in my computer.

How about the software you used for playing the Blu-ray movies, that need update the too.
