I decided to reapply the thermal paste but I think it's a wrong idea since my PC stopped working.:(

It has its LED lit in front. I think it's the power button. No beeps or anything, when I click the turn on switch, it doesn't do anything. What could I have gone wrong? Help please.:(

you raised the lever to pull it and reset the lever after reinstall? and you didn't get thermal paste in the cpu socket holes and you didn't bend any pins?

never should have pulled the cpu. all you had to do was wipe the old paste off and reapply new.

speaking of pulling cpu............ did you put it back in the right way?

It works now. apparently, I'm so stupid to plug the right front panel connector in order. xD I thought I'm so stupid since it was the first time I put a thermal paste on my PC but I've been cleaning my PC and opening it up for 2yrs now. Good riddance.:D

Well good that you figure it out. You can always use a screw driver to start it up without plugging the case wires into the motherboard. You just touch the two pins that are use for the case power and it will turn on. I do that every time before I plug them in cause i hate having to deal with those wires.

don't confuse him. that problem has been solved.
