So I recently built a new gaming pc with an intel core i5 4670k, the GTX 770, 8gbs of ram, and a z87-g45 motherboard. I loaded up BF3 and started to play it. The game looked like crap and was all laggy and choppy I put the settings all the way up and all the way down and it still was crap. I got the drivers and everything. I don't know what to do next. This was not the performance I was expecting from this card.

I use DVI,(the white tip one), and I plug in into the card because it won't work when I plug it straight into the motherboard.

Check the GPUTweak charts and make sure the gpu clock chart is stable at 1058 MHz or above.
If this is not the case, go to your nvidia settings, then go to 3d settings. There you can choose "Program Settings" and select the game you are having trouble with.
Now scroll down and select "Perfer Maximum Performance" under the Power Management Mode setting.

Reboot and your game should run fine.
