Hi i want to know if it would be worth it to buy the evga gtx classified version over the super clocked one. from what i have read, it will have an extra gig of memory.

If this is the case I dont know if it would be worth it because i plan to add a second and third card in the future. 9gb of video memory vs 12gb. 12 seems way excess, so much so that i could never max it out. Is that true or will i see some gains?

thank yo all for your help!

GDDR5 Memory does not add up like that. If you had 3x3gb cards you would have a grand total of 3gb memory available to you. 3gb should be fine on most resolutions unless you're going extremely big.

You won't probably use even 6gb of GDDR5 let alone 9 or 12. Whatever it is even if it is 5760x1080, you won't need that much memory.
