TV Resolution Problem

When I use my TV for.. well tv purposes it runs fine on a 1080p resolution. Now. When I hook the tv to my computer it weirds out and goes 1360x768 and when i try to make it 1080 again it cuts of the edges and everything looks very weird. Now it seems as it is capable of running 1080 when just used with a cable box, but not with comp. What could be the problem?

P.S: I use a second monitor too, but running the tv single I also encounter the same problems.
P.P.S: I have a GTX 760 and a i5 3570k

Solution
Hold the windows key and press P. It cycles through options for display settings like monitor only, dual monitor, tv, etc. You might find that selecting the T.V. option solves that. I was going to point to overscan to get rid of those black bars, but I only know how to get to that through AMD drivers... Maybe look into that as well.

Mine is set to extend. I only have four options.
