What does blinking Q-code 00 mean?

So I did a test boot outside the case and everything ran fine, but once I put it into the case and power it up... the motherboard blinks on and off every 5 seconds or so and shows the Q-code 00. The fans spin for a second or two and turn off in unison with the blinking. All the components are new (except for the optical/hard drives) including the motherboard which is an asus z87 hero. The manual says code 00 means "not in use" and I have unplugged several things to see if one thing is the cause, but I haven't found anything yet. Anyone have any ideas?

Well I didn't check because I had a different motherboard already installed in this case and I figured the standoffs must be fine. I'll check it later tonight though and let you know...too tired right now.

I checked the standoffs and they were all there like I thought but out of a hunch, I switched out a couple of the ones that looked a little worn out or weird and it worked! I have no idea if that was really the problem or if unplugging and replugging everything in again did it, but either way everything booted up properly. On one of the standoffs I replaced, the threads were actually coming out of the top of it so maybe that had some sort of impact I dunno.

Still need to figure this out. Has been working fine, but recently installed a couple other things and it did it again. I am 99% sure it has something to do with the standoffs because anytime I adjust them a bit it tends to happen, but I know all the standoffs are installed correctly. I have a corsair carbide 400R maybe this is a common issue with the standoffs in this case? Do standoffs wear out and need replacement often? This is a pretty new case I bought so I don't know that this is an issue. Maybe someone else has had a similar experience with this or a similar case?

They don't look stripped to me. I loosened the screws a bit and it booted fine.
