My lenovo laptop turned to its factory settings. I made a mistake by clicking the small button next to the power button hoping to resolve the issue of automatic restart and seeing reboot options. I also hear noisy sound from the laptop everytime i turned it on. How can I go back to current state? I think it's not possible. Files were gone and I'm hopeless. Please help me.

I'll venture heat as the issue here. I'd assume the noise you hear comes from the heatsink's fan. Disassembly and thorough cleaning would be my suggestion as a first step to normal behavior. The other possibility (there are only three things capable of making noise in a laptop - we'll ignore the optical drive for now) would be the hard drive - it may be failing. I'd be more inclined to look at heat as the problem though
