Hello all,

I've put together a budget AMD and Intel build on PCPartPicker. I'm not gonna run off listing the specs of each on here as you can see for yourself at the links. The Intel build runs about $20 higher, and I had a few questions.

1. Which build will perform better in gaming?
2. Which build will perform better in real-world applications such as Microsoft Office?
3. Will these build be able to handle newer games at 1920x1080 playable?
4. Is the Intel build worth the extra $20?

AMD Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/nhannon9/saved/1P07

Thanks.

Solution
The intel build needs a b75 motherboard to work.

They will game about the same.

They will play at low/medium settings in newer games at 1080p.

They will perform just fine with office type applications.

Why does the Intel build need a B75 motherboard? It's an Ivy Bridge processor and the motherboard has a manufacturer note saying it supports Ivy Bridge processors.. And thanks for the feedback! So you think I should go with the AMD build?
