Hi,
i am getting PCCG to build me a new gaming system, and i was going to remove the gpu from my current system (ASUS GTX68DCUII TOP EDITION) to run SLI in the new system. the problem is they do not have this identical card, if i got PCCG to build my system with a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 2GB Super Overclock. could i put my asus 680 in and run SLI???

Solution
And at least a GOOD 650W power supply.

As long as the cards have the same memory and memory interface and same GPU core, it works, so 2 GTX680 cores with the same memory specs for example, which is the case here. The core speeds should also be matched up with under or overclocking.

ok awesome, so even if they are both not a standard 680 (one being a top edition, and one being a super overclock)

the different clocks probably mean different voltages, so that wont be an issue for SLI??

and the rest of the system is 100% able to handle quad sli if i want it too, i just wanted to make sure that there was no issue with this

would this be something that i could simply do in asus gpu tweak software? or is it something that requiires a bit more depth?

Easily done in GPU Tweak.

Keep in mind the Asus card is TRIPPLE slot. What motherboard, powersupply and case do you have?

the build will not be a problem, already worked all that out with PCCG this little question was just for assurances. i will probably go gpu liquid cooling at a later date as well, so that will bring it back to less slots per card.

thanks everyone for the help, i appreciate it =]
