So long story short, i restored my PC to factory conditions, I had assumed i had attracted a few viruses and wanted to steer clear. Anyways, I reinstalled Steam and a few of my top games and when I went to play Garry's Mod, it said my Direct X was out of date and sent me to Microsoft's website, to the download page, I thought "No sweat i can just download this update real quick" But i get this error "An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine the problem." I have tried many many different solutions and have yet to find one that works. The catch is that I can play other games such as Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2. Which are older than the current version of Garry's Mod. I don't know if that last fact mattered but i thought i'd throw it in there. Any help will be appreciated, Thank you to those who reply.
