Hey,

I'm having an issue at the minute and before I do a fresh install and start again I'm hoping one of you guys can help me out.

Basically my computer completely freezes every few minutes for a few seconds. The mouse cursor stops dead and won't move, video freezes (sound continues oddly enough) and it's really annoying!

Machine details

Intel i5 2500k oc to 4400
16gb G Skill 1600mhz ram
AS Rock extreme 3 gen 3
MSI GTX 560ti
Crucial SSD

I built it over a year ago now and had no issues at all until recently. I think it might be worth noting that I set up a dual monitor setup recently as well. I had an LG tv plugged into the onboard graphics for watching Netflix on. The problem started around the same time I set up the dual screen. I have now removed the dual screen setup as I kept getting bsod while watching stuff but the freezing continues.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Been away for a while so haven't been able to respond. All was going fine with the fresh install until recently an it has started happening again. It's a real strange one but I have a feeling it is something to do with the display driver or graphics card. It only ever seems to happen after I have been using dual monitors (not during using them, just when I revert back to 1). Any solutions?

I got to the bottom of this. It was Mozilla Firefox causing the issues. Don't know how or why, but I have removed it completely and installed Chrome and all is good and has been for months!
