I am currently looking for a new motherboard and CPU for my current rig. I have been looking at both ASUS and Gigabyte Motherboards as I have had no issues in the past regarding performance and reliability.

Currently I have: ASUS P7P55D MB
Intel i5 750 (1st generation)

I am interested in the: ASUS Z87-Pro MB
Intel i5 3750K 3.4GHz LGA 1155

I will be using two HIS 1GB GPUs in the future, as they are not currently compatible with my MB.

I plan on spending a maximum of $600 AUD on the two items. Does this sound reasonable, or should I be looking at two totally different products?
What does everyone think? :)

Solution
Take your pick. You can get an 3570k with a Z77 motherboard or a 4670k with a Z87 motherboard. The 4670k is newer, but has only minor advantages over the 3570k.

Damn! I thought that MB was an LGA 1155 compatible board. I suppose I better research some more.
So you think that I should shop for another CPU and not the board?
