Hi there,

So i've recently tried my first build which included a :
AMD FX 6350 CPU
Asus M5 A97 LE R2.0
2 x 8GB Kingston KHX1600C10 DB31K2
AMD Radeon HD 7850 Direc CU II
and i've put everything together and am getting a no signal to monitor. I've check the forums here and tried Restting the RAM. No luck.

I then checked and cant seem to find it on the qualified vendor list. Could this be the source of the problem? Im about to go to a repair centre cuz this is driving me crazy.

Thanks in advance,

exactly how you'd fix it yourself. yes. That's why i suggested you contact Asus. They probably will be willing to send you either a replacement board with the proper bios preloaded, or a new bios chip and instructions and the stupid tool needed for changing the physical bios chip yourself (assuming they still make mbs with interchangeable bios chips. I might be dating myself here, but i remember doing this a number of times once upon a time... but it's been a long time since i even considered the...
I don't think the m5a97 LE r2.0 works natively with that cpu. You might need to contact asus about this issue and see what solutions they have for you.

the motherboard should work with the cpu in bios version 1006. if that motherboard didn't come with that bios version you're gonna be SOL till asus helps you get past that problem.

and yeah... a computer repair guy probably would be able to get you up and running pretty quick if its a bios issue.
