I am building a a light gaming and media PC for my cousin. Here is what I have right now.

It needs to be fairly portable so the case can't be any bigger. I can probably also mod it to give it better cooling (add fans and drill holes). The 7790 comes with 3 games that he said I could have as payment and it is a good card. I choose the FX-6300 over the i3-3220 cause it would be better at the multitasking he does.

is 550$ the maximum budget?

Also, will you/your cousin be overclocking?

Get 1866mhz CAS 9 1.5V RAM - that 1333mhz RAM is underpowered.

Also, I wouldn't buy that case - the included 300W PSU isn't going to be sufficient.

EDIT: Nevermind, that motherboard only supports 1333mhz RAM - and you need to overclock to get to that speed.

To be honest, that motherboard isn't very good. It's a very good combo price though.

He will not be overclocking, he is not very computer savvy. The motherboard will probably be upgraded in a year though.
