My Graphics Card Situation

Hey everyone,
I've just got into gaming in the past year.

I currently have this PC, but with a Geforce GT 430 in it: http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/model/PT.GCPP2.003

I am looking to upgrade it to a new low profile graphics card. I am not sure which one is the best though. I am looking for a graphics card that is the best for games that could work with my psu which according to the link above is 300 watts. I just want the best graphics card I could possibly get for my current PC.

the 7750 is a 55W gpu. you should have no problem running it on a 300W psu. Hell, i have my 125W PhIIx4 965BE and 95W 7770GE running on a 400W psu both overclocked fairly well with a boatload of fans and electrical components, hds in raid and the like.

no problems here.

You probably can't run the 7850 but you should be able to run a 7750 on a 300 PSU since it doesn't require a seperate power cable thats your best bet. However it looks your like your gateway is a tower so probably has a standard type PSU. You should be able to replace the power supply with a better unit if you want then you get a better card.
