When running AVG AntiVirus, the program bring back an issue. When I select repair, I get the following:

Threat: Trojan horse Crypt_s.BFL
Object name: c:\Users\<name>\AppData\Local\Temp\svxwrijq\spnkqep\wow64.dll.

Removing of threat has failed.
Access denied.

Any help would be appreciated.

All you had to do was "right click the AVG icon, select Run As, then select the Administrator option."
Not sure why you did a system restore. That ought to be a last ditch method. You may be "admin on the account" but Windows 7 does not automatically run everything with administrator priveleges, which is why I recommended the above method much earlier in the first place.

Go to where the file is and try to delete it manually, if that doesn't work you are in trouble cause Trojan files can be very harmful to your computer. Ow and 1 more thing are you the Admin?

If I were you I would do a system restore back to when you know you weren't infected. It probably has persistence enabled and is added to start up. It is possible that admin rights were disabled for deletion of it.

I ended up doing a system to the last earliest one listed. All went well with the restore. When I access the account, I'm getting the following:

There was a problem starting
c:\Users\<name>\AppData\Local\Temp\secuvoo\svbkpux\wow.dll.
The specified module cold not be found.

Any additional help would be appreciated.

PS: Running Windows 7

I did run the AVG AntiVirus with the 'Run as Adminstrator' option and the program reported no issues; but the message that started this tread keep appearing. The system restore was my last option. With where I am today, what are my options to handle the message after the restore. Also, how do I get the c:\Users\<name>\AppData\ to show? I can see other directories under C:\Users\<name>\, but not the AppData directory.

Thanks for your response,

You can always just type the "AppData" into the filepath. Even though it's not showing you can still access it. Otherwise follow this from Microsoft: "The AppData folder is hidden, by default. You can click Organize/Folder and Search Options/View Tab. Select the Show hidden Files, Folders, and drives option."
