System shutting down automatically


Description

I have win7. My system is shutting down automatically within 3 mins.

Before shutting down
1. Opens up a search window
2. Starts typing numbers in the text boxes. Whenever you click on

any text box it starts typing numbers like 1111111111111.
3. Sometimes keyboard stops working.

Due to above syptoms it seems it is virus problem
Options I tried to overcome this

1. Used Bitdefender Rescue CD. Scanned the system.
problem not resolved. Even in the bitdefender screen, I opened firefox there also it started typing numbers in the text boxes. 2. Used AVG Rescue CD. Scanned the system.
3. I formatted the system and reinstalled the win7.

now also system is shutting down automatically

So the keyboard issue is only in Windows? Does it show up soon as you installed it? Did you try a new keyboard? System shutting down on it's own can be a bad powersupply or bad motherboard. That's actually the main issue here, I'm thinking whatever fault was causing the random typing is also what is causing the computer to shut down on it's own.

Could be a bunch of different things, but I'm guessing the motherboard. There is no keyboard issues when you install Windows? That part of it works OK with typing? If you formatted the system, did you also remote the partition also or just did a format? Try deleting the partition then formatting and installing Windows. If it's a virus, it should not have lived though you formatting the drive, unless you copied all your files back.

This starts soon as you begin to use Windows right after a clean setup? Try replacing the keyboard?

Hi hang-the-9,

In my system there were three drives C, D and E. Windows was on C drive. So while reinstalling the OS I deleted the C drive and again istalled windows on C. All other drives ware as it is, i didn't touched them
