what is the best RAM for around £130 ($195)

Solution
OK, not sure what you do with it, but it's a decent budget, but shouldn't need that much, realistically the CPU can handle as high as 2400 sticks tops so for 16GB in a 2x8GB set I'd look to the GSkill Tridents 2400/10 at about $165 at the Egg, (I run the 32GB set of these with my 3570K and they are great...If looking to go for more, a 32GB set would run prob about $250

What CPU and mobo? Also what do you do with your rig? Anybody with no clue can easily say get this, get that, but chances are good it may be something your rig can't even run i.e. 2400 sticks are good for many, but if running an AMD 8350, you are SOL as it just can't do it...give us the mobo and CPU and you can get an informed suggestion or two....
