This is my first time building a desktop. These are the parts I'm going to use.

Is this good enough to run say BF3 or possibly even BF4 on medium to high settings? I'm also a Youtuber so I'm recording this gameplay footage with FRAPS. Being younger than most of you guys (I'm assuming), I need some feedback on the desktop parts I will probably buy.

Solution
You don't need the wired network adapter, thermal paste, or the sound card. The cooler comes with paste, and the NIC and sound are already on the motherboard.

That is entirely up to you. Some people prefer 7, some prefer 8.

Me? I'm on 8 Pro and have no issues with it.

Sorry to be asking so much USAFret, I must be wasting your time. But is BF3 supported for Windows 8 and if I decide to save this project for later, should I get the Acer Aspire V3-771G-6485 17.3-Inch Laptop? Here's the specs:

Intel Core i5-3230M 2.6 GHz (3 MB Cache)
6 GB DDR3 RAM
750 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
17.3-Inch Screen, NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M
Windows 8, 4-hour battery life

Sorry for wasting your time in advance.

And also this is the updated build of the project:

determineologyz, why should I go for the desktop? Just a question. I have absolutely no experience in building desktops and I'm afraid I could somehow break it entirely.

Thanks for that comfort. I don't know how it will perform(I mainly just focus on the video card, the cpu, and the motherboard), but I just need one last review on my final blueprint for my desktop.

Give me a really detailed review on this. *Note: I'm on a $700-750 budget.

A thanks to all the people who helped, USAFRet, determinologyz, and Fox_
