I built a computer a while ago, I can play games and maintain a temp around 40-50 degrees Celsius. But on games such as Battlefield 3 (I run on Ultra settings) my graphics card will lurch to 55-60 degrees Celsius. Ultimately the game will crash, though I've never blue-screened, the game will just stop responding. This problem occurs after about 15 minutes of gameplay.
Rig:
CPU: Intel i5-3570k Ivy Bridge processor (3.4Ghz)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz sticks
GPU: GeForce GTX 670 FTW (For the Win Edition) Superclocked (Factory overclock)
PSU: Corsair CX750 watt
Case: CM Storm Scout Gaming Case
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V
For all I know, it could be something else causing the issues. All GPU intensive games tend to have issues, if I turn the settings down the heat will stay around 55 degrees Celsius. But in the end, all games cash around 60, and I know that a GPU can go around 80 without a problem. What I want to know is what is causing my crashing and if I can fix it (I do know the airflow in the case is a little bad)
