Iv been doing a little research on here and other sites and cant come up with a decision on which cpu cooler to go with on my i5 3570k I do plan on overclocking it. A friend gave me his old Corsair H50 but im looking at my options Iv heard good and bad about the H50. Anyone have any suggestions on good coolers that will fit in my CM scout 2 case? Oh and I have a ASRock z77 extreme 4 and im using 8gb of corsair vengeance 1600

Iv heard good things about the COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO and Corsair H80 but I want to make sure im not wasting $ if there not better than the H50 I already have thanks.

The H50 is a lower end water cooler, that the EVO rivals in performance, the evo would be a better bet vs the H50, but the H80 or H100/100i would be better than the evo. You only need the 80/100 if you are planning on doing a lot of OC, If not the evo is a better bet, also it is much cheaper.

I just want to make sure Im able to OC without high temps seems like the H50 isnt a very good choice as you said a lower end water cooler but how is the H80/H100 as far as bang for your buck?

If you are planning to OC heavily, the H100 is going to be one of the best cooler investments, that or something similar (Thermaltake water 2.0 extreme) If its a light OC the evo would work fine. But if you want to get up there the water is the best bang for the buck.
