i3 3220 vs FX 6100 (with HD7850)

Hi all
I've been running in circles trying to decide between these 2 chips,they're both at the same price tag,and seem pretty similar performance wise.
Could any of you proud owners of any of the 2 chips help me out decide?
Main activities: Visual Studio 2012 C# programming,Diablo 3 and League of Legends; basically I do not require a godly machine.
(The HD7850 might as well be replaced for a GTX660 TI)

i had the 6100 loved it really easy to OC and gave great performance. i would consider it better than the i3 in general computer tasks.

I would agree with jbucko, I think the fx 6300 would be generally better than the i3 and if you want you can overclock it for extra performance which is always nice

Because MSVS is on your list, and you are likely to be compiling...the FX 6100 or 6300 will end up being a better buy for you. The extra cores will make compiling time go by quite a bit faster. Everything else on your list is easily done by either CPU.

Get the 6300. Better than the 6100 and last I looked it actually was cheaper. 6300 is better than i3 too
