I just bought a FX6300 and mtb gigabyte 990XA-UD3. In Idle the cpu temp is about 55C and the box cooler sounds like almost dead horse. I cant figure where the problem can be. Most people says, that the box cooler can hadle this cpu without problem. is it fault of mtb or cpu?

I have the same CPU and can say that I haven't had any problems with my stock cooler. Currently I'm running at 38C even after letting my computer run overnight downloading torrents etc.

I would check to see if the heat sink is installed properly and if thermal past if applied correctly.
What is ambient temperatures ?
If all good, i've undevolted a few heating core i5 and are quoit stable even @ 1.2. brought temps from 40 degree idle to 30 and 90 degree to 75 under load, but that's a long shot.
