I made a windows 7 boot usb on another computer of the same operating system, but when I put it in my crashed laptop it will not read, and ends up giving the same error it would withouth the usb disc (\Boot\BCD and 0xc000000e). after adding the iso image to the usb card with windows 7 download tool, is there another step I need to be doing?

SD card is not really USB, are you trying to boot of a card reader? Try using just a regular USB flash drive.
Are you sure it's trying to boot to the USB stick? Did you test the USB stick on another computer? I've used the Mircrosoft USB tool several times and it's always worked. The issue could be with a bad USB drive, or the computer. Try a different USB port, maybe a RAM issue.

I'm not for sure. I went into the computers boot manager and selected the USB option, if that's what you're inferring. I have no other compatible computers, and its a SD card. I didn't have any issues until I threw it into the new computer, so maybe it doesn't work because it's an SD card instead of a USB?
