For a system using a single GeForce GTX 770 graphics card NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 600 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 42 Amps or greater and that has at least one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most important factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

Your CODEGEN 550W doesn't have a sufficient maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating nor does it have the minimum number and type of PCI Express supplementary power connectors so you definitely need a replacement.

Since your Foxconn H67MP motherboard doesn't support 2-way SLI mode there is no need to worry about powering an SLI configuration. Since the Intel Core i5-2500 is a multiplier locked processor there's no need to worry about CPU overclocking.

What is your power supply budget amount and do you have any vendor or online shop preferences?

What is the brand and model of the 450 Watt power supply?

Do you have the room in the case to fit this second PSU?

Do you know how to connect it so that both PSUs turn on simultaneously?

man why do you keep on buying these cheap codegen psu. Instead of buying two crappy ones you could have bought one good one.

I would not recommend using two power supplies. Sure it might work out but if you mess up, you can fry your whole system. Also you are using 2 cheap psu's so they can fail even if not drawing full power.

You are willing to spend $400 on a graphics card but not $60 on a power supply? Stop being cheap and just buy another one.

It won't work.

The Gigabyte GTX 770 WindForce OC will draw more +12V current than that Codegen 300X 400 Watt power supply can safely deliver continuously.

Also you would be placing an unusual crossload on that PSU that it may not handle properly.

Why are you even contemplating risking damage to an expensive graphics card by subjecting it to garbage power supplies?

What country do you live in where the power supplies are so expensive?
