Good afternoon!

I will be ordering my parts for a new gaming PC next week!
I want to make sure I dont mess this up because I've never done this before LoL.

Like I said I need a better than average PC with around a 1,000 dollar budget
Will look at overclocking and SLI in the future

So far I got all these parts-----

also I will buy the windows 7, keyboard, monitor, mouse and maybe wifi adapter

My questions:

1. Is that 3570k a better cpu/combo socket than the 4670k in terms of gaming?
2. Is the MSI Z87 the best gaming MOBO for with the CPU?
3. I have no knowledge on what makes a good GPU so i picked one with good ratings- are there better options?
4. Can a full ATX Mobo fit in a mid tower case?

I appreciate to anyone who took the time to read this =)

id get cheaper ram. Also that 7970 is way overpriced. if it was around $320 then it would be worth it. I think a gtx 760 will be a much better value

now to your questions

1. why would a last generation cpu be better? the 4670k is a little bit better, but some argue that its not worth it and that it doesn't overclock as easily

2. best? no there are $400 motherboards out there that will rape the one you have. But if you are not into overclocking or running multiple gpus this one is fine.

3.above

4. yes it should. check the case specs to be sure

At that price point, I'd be looking at a 770 right now (and I say that as someone with a 7970 and is happy with it).

Also, on that budget, I'd like to move up a tier or two in case quality. You could probably get some of the savings from going down to a lower Seasonic or the XFX 550 (don't get me wrong, the PSU you picked is great).

Thank you for your fast reply!

I ran the two cards through a benchmark and it says that the Radeon is alot faster?

U think the speed is not worth the premium that I would have to pay?
Also can you tell me what the best brand of Graphics Card is? Such as EVGA, ASUS etc

I changed the Graphics Card to the GTX 760, upgraded the case to Cooler Master HAF 912 and changed the cpu cooler to evo 212. How does it look?
