Need some opinions and help for building a gaming computer

I am a beginner/new-comer at building computers, gaming computers to be specific. I heard that it was better to build one than to buy one. I have started looking at guides and trying to find what parts are compatible with what and how good they need to be. My budget is around $800. I am looking for a good motherboard for a good gaming computer for around $200. I found this one: http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=991090336/search=asus+motherboard#tab=details . The problem is that I do not know if I need a better sound card than the Realtek that comes with it, and if it will work with this processor WELL: http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=1218139176/search=Processor#tab=details . I thank you for all of your help!

EDIT: I have changed the processor that i want to use. Please tell me if this processor: ( http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=1002436182/search=Processor#tab=details ) is compatible with the above motherboard or if this motherboard is: http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=1231298627/search=motherboard+nvidia+chipset#tab=details

More about opinions building gaming computer
  1. I'd look for a slightly lower priced mobo, like the ASRock Z87 extreme 4 and add the savings towards the 4670K, the K model is unlocked and can be OCed now or in the future
  2. The motherboard you listed is socket 1155 and has a z77 chipset which is not compatible with a haswell 4670.
For the 4670, any socket 1150 motherboard will do.
As a rule of thumb, budget twice you cpu cost for the graphics card.

Onboard HD sound is very good. I would defer on the sound card; you can always add one later.

I found this motherboard that is a 1150 socket for a good price:http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=1231298627/search=socket+1150+motherboard

But does it come with a wireless card? i am also looking for one with more USB ports
  4. The GB has plenty of USB 2 (2) and 3 (6 - all backward compatible to USB 2), it doesn't have wireless built in though would need an adapter

I just prefer ASUS because it has high recommendations. I have changed my mind for this processor: http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=1002436182/search=Processor#tab=details

I wonder if this motherboard would work for it: http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=991090336/search=asus+motherboard#tab=details

If not, then i will look towards GB, but i want something with atleast 3 PCI slots, but what i definately want is a motherboard with a wireless card built in it and NVIDIA compatible

EDIT: i found this good gigabyte motherboard: http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=1231298627/search=motherboard+nvidia+chipset#tab=details

Yep, 3570K is great choice and the Asus will work well, the GB your looking at is an 1150 however, need a 1155 socket (isn't it a pain, these two sockets seem to have half the world confused)
