Yes, that is a great set of memory. The memory is compatible and it will work. If you are into rendering, editing audio which is often involving large data formats then 16GB is what I'd recommend (2 x 8GB). If you need other set of memory kits then try GSkill's TridentX which is great for overclocking.

There's no specialized set exclusively for gaming; either the sniper set or the TridentX set memory kits will do. 8GB should be more than enough to run most of the games. For gaming purpose get a better GPU. If your CPU has on onboard graphics controller then you might want to increase the amount of memory your system has especially if it is 8GB or below.

hyee lego house! i'm planning to build a desktop which uses the intel core i7 4770 k processer. What RAM is the best for the cpu? For gaming specifically
If strictly gaming the 4670K would be a better choice - unless you need Hyper Threading...DRAM wise for gaming 8GB will suffice, would look at GSkill Tridents or Snipers in 1866
