Hi All,

I have a HP TouchSmart 610 PC. It seems to have some problem at boot up. Sometimes it boots up, but sometimes, it hangs at "Starting Windows" logo. OS installed is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Sometimes it even doesn't go up to Starting Windows, and gives error, "No boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed". But after sometime it start and works normally.

Suspecting that the hard drive has spoiled, I replaced the hard disk. But even after that, it is same with the new hard disk as well.

Somehow funny, but the problem occurs mainly when I start the system in the morning. I mean, after long time. Say I turn it off in the night time around 11:00 PM. After that in the morning or later in the evening when I try to start it gives this problem. Then I have to leave it for an hour or so. After that try and it is working. I understand, it sounds funny, but that's the actual scenario.

If anyone have any solution or pointer for this, pls share. If need any further info, pls ask.

Thanks

Solution
As you installed a replacement hard drive. I would ask a friend if they had a power supply you could use for testing. If it not te power supply then you have Sata or cap failure on your mb.
