I have a hd6670; 8 gigs ram. Asrock extreme 6 mobo, amd x8 cpu and samsung s22b300 display(which I use hdmi), and creative zxr sound card.

It had worked perfectly until I removed the sound card.

And now after I press the power button, monitor is all black and it indicates that a switching occurs between analog and hdmi. Repeats 2 times and nothing else happens. Connected vga cable too, nothing happens anyway.

I am so frustrated that I had to leave it behind and go to work :) Can anybody give me a solution?

Thanks

If your boar has onboard video, please ensure that it is not getting the video signal.

The sound card should have no effect on video at all.

The analog to hdmi is the screen looking for any input and failing to find any. You can try to connect the screen to the onboard video to see if it works that way.

Also, ensure that your video card is FULLY seated in the pci-e slot remove and reinsert it to be sure.

My mobo has onboard video and I plugged the hdmi cable into it and well guess what, nothing happened. I recall that I had disabled the mobo's gpu :\

"The analog to hdmi is the screen looking for any input and failing to find any." I agree with you yeah. But having disabled onboard video removes that chance..
Video card is screwed to the case and fully seated into its place, no worries there.

I guess the only option left is to push reset button on the mobo. I have to get that onboard video back. What would you think?

I have seen some cards screwed to the case and still have some issues(I had a card running at x1 even with it in the slot. removal and reinsertion did fix it). I have also seen this happen with memory(causing a no post situation). Those may be 2 things to try either way(even running with a single stick of memory for testing.).
