Both Afterburner and Precision X are showing this card is reaching it's OV limit indicated by the "1" in the graph. This is without any overclock or changes to anything.

Has anyone else seen this with their 760?

Isn't that sort of implied in the name "GTX 760 OC?" It's already OC'd...

oc= Overclocked :)  It's overclocked in the factory.

So because it's overclocked it should be reaching it's over voltage max limit? I dunno. I read that it's a serious red flag. And it also still does it if I underclock the card to reference 760 clocks.

is it reaching an over-voltage or TDP(power consumption) limit?

The TDP limit is what controls how far cards can self overclock(boost). Some games are more easy on the card so they can clock higher, while harder loads will result in a lower self overclock.

Your card will try to stay right on the top and sometimes shoot just over the TDP limit while you game.

Please note with every card being different, some will hit the limit sooner and not self overclock as far and temperatures play a role as well.

It is reaching the the OVER VOLTAGE limit. It is not even coming close to TDP limit, even with power limit it set at default 100%.

However the card seems to overclock great, at a steady 1267 boost clock, it's still not even close to it's TDP limit running Heaven 4.0 maxed out.

GPU Z shows the TDP never goes above 60% during benching although I think AFterburner showed it go up to 80%.( I am using precision X now) VDDC in GPU Z is 1.2v during heavy use, and 1.075 at idle. I don't have "over-voltage" enabled and havn't touched voltatges at all.

Taking the position that your card isn't defective and you are running at default speeds, then this is the only thing I can think... You are hitting your voltage limit as a normal course of operation, which is causing the "1" flag to show in the Reasons monitor, stating that you have reached the limit, rather than exceeded the limit. Your boost clock is a bit higher than TPU got with their OC at stock voltage. So maybe it's a glitch showing that your card is hitting a really high turbo boost clock, maybe going just barely overvoltage, and causing the warning flag to come up during normal operation. Just speculating.

Does it show a "1" at 2D idle mode?

At idle it shows as "0" Only under load does it show as "1" ... Also, at stock settings it boosts to 1225mhz I think. (can't remember exact number now but it's in the 1220s) ... And it stays there never dipping below it when card is at full load.

When I had a 50mhz oc on the core, it would boost to 1267 and stay there.

The real question is, does the "1" on stock settings mean that I shouldn't overclock?

If you are that low in the tdp limit, that card should actually overclock quite well. Sorry to say, I have not seen the over voltage limit setting, but only have a 6xx cards to test with at the moment.

Either way if the TDP is accurate, you have a very good card.

Like before, I think it's worth it to call tech support for your card. Chances are they will have no idea what you are talking about. Everything I have read indicates literally that a "1" on the OV Max Limit will fry your card. (Maybe it's worth it to PM "cangelini", the author of this article below.)

Well I contacted cangelini, and the answer according to Gigabyte was:

"According NV guideline, the max voltage for N760 GPU is 1.21V. GIGABYTE products always follow their guideline.
Based on different GPU Bin of N760 GPU, the regular operation voltage is either 1.18V or 1.2V, detecting by our BIOS.
So the card bought by the users actually has decent GPU actually."

But that still doesn't explain why I am getting the "1" for over voltage in both Afterburner and Precision X, since my card appears to not be hitting the 1.21v limit (it's reaching 1.20v). So strange.
