for some reason I now have really low fps in borderlands and the game is unplayable even on the lowest setting. everything is fine for about 30 seconds into a map and then the game plays like crap. I have contacted steam but they have not emailed me back and have tried various methods, every other game plays fine including borderlands 2 which I also have on steam. i5 3570k, 8gb ram, amd 6870.

well in the first borderlands there is no PhysX setting that I am aware of and yes it is on every map I will fast travel anywhere and within 20 or 30 seconds the game is unplayable. I have logged a lot of hours on this game and a few with this build and this is a new problem. it all started when I was playing co-op like a week ago and the guy I was playing co-op with was not taking any damage. a few minutes later I had my first game crash on this computer.
