I have been running my 2500K at 4.5ghz with 1.35v fixed on bios for 5 months stable. When room temperature is 31C my cpu temperature would max at around 72C running prime95. I am currently using the CM V6 with 2 enermax tb fans in push pull.
Recently recently push the oc to 4.7ghz with vcore at 1.41 on bios. The CPU max temperature goes towards 78C which make a little uncomfortable.
My question is by changing my cooler to something like the corsair h100i, how much improvement can I get in terms of temperature reductions. At the oc clock and vcore, am I killing my CPU.

Solution

Those temps arent even bad IMO. Bad would be anything over 85C and you will upgrade ever before you kill that cpu
