Hi guys so I am rebuilding my comp with better internals. I just installed a AMD FX8350 4GHZ CPU, and a ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z Motherboard and currently have a HD 7950 3GB GPU and ADATA 4X4GB 1600MHZ DDR3.

I had a fresh install of windows 7 64bit and had my computer guy (who i trust) do the software part of it for me. I installed the hardware and had him check it all.

My problem is that when i use to play Crysis 3 or Assassins Creed 3 on the highest quality settings it would run fine, now it has immense lag and being a fresh install of windows I shouldn't have any old drivers on board but thats an assumption.

Any one got any insight to this?
NOTE I will be updating RAM and GPU as well but one thing at a time right

Solution
Check a few things.make sure your mb has the newest bios file installed.
Use Cpuz read your ram speed. Some mb will default to 1333 speed. Read the ram spd info and check in the bios that the mb set the ram speed right.
Make sure you installed the newest amd chipset driver from amd. Open your rig check that te ram are in the right slot and the gpu in the main video card slot near the CPU. if you have a sound card or wifi card if it in the pci slot next to the video card...try moving down one slot..some slots share Irq and some cards don't play nice. Check that your running the newest gpu and Microsoft directx.

all of these things are good, RAM is at 1.6V and 1600MHZ and installed correctly, latest drivers and chipset, sound card is in the PCI at the bottom(I have 4 slots all up) still laggy on top graphics
