Hi! I have the Acer Aspire V3 -471 Laptop that has core i5 (no NVidia installed on it). Could I upgrade it so I can have NVidia on it. The gaming so far really sucks. I was really ripped off because I was told that it was the "best gaming laptop" but its not... Ive heard of NVidia drivers. Could I download an NVidia driver and could it improve the performance of the gaming? If not is there any other way to speed up the gaming? (im looking to play games like planetside2 on a decent quality and framerate)

Any help is appreciated! Thank you* :)

I'm having trouble finding your model, the one I came up with did have a nvidia card in it: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Aspire-V3-471-73814G5...

But to answer your question, if your model does not have an Nvidia card installed you cannot boost performance by downloading the drivers. The only real way to speed up gaming would be add a dedicated GPU if it is possible.

I don't have the one with nvidia, I'm not too sure what a GPU is... How could I get one?

A GPU is a graphics/video card. If your laptop doesn't support one you can't get one.

Okay. I think my my GPU is intel graphics. a thing like that. I searches in my files for: Graphics. and it gave me intel graphics and media control panel. Its the most recent version. But what I really need to know is can I change it to NVidia, Amd, anything better than intel cus its really bad. When I open the control panel for intel graphics, the setting are limited. what I mean by that is that the choices like the color and display setting are really the only things there... Will Increasing my RAM make the games run faster ( speed up the fps) I think I have 2 gb of RAM. Buying some hopefully will help. I'm really looking forward to that option if its possible :)

Thanks for the help :)
