hi,

I need help in regards to a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR BSOD message. It is a new build computer.
I have an Asus Z87-PRO mobo with 4770k processor running on windows 8 and keep getting this error within 5 minutes of starting up into windows (sometimes longer, sometimes quicker).
I cant keep windows open long enough to update any of the drivers before it crashes but have taken out hard drive and swapped over with another i know works. have taken out GPU, swapped out ram, run memory tests etc and can only seems to narrow it down to CPU/MOBO or PSU (i dont have another PSU to test it against).
Are there any programs i can use to stress test CPU and run diagnostics on the MOBO/PSU to narrow down the problem to a specific part that i can run from a bootable disk or usb?
I suspect it is a thermal issue caused by a faulty CPU or MOBO but am unsure as i cant see running temps while in windows only in bios. the bios temps are around 55 degrees after it blue screens and starts up when i go into bios but quickly drops off to around 40 degrees once the fan speeds up after the crash.
Any help or input is appreciated.

thanks

I was simply answering his general questions with general answers, about programs that do diagnostics and stress testing.

First off, we need COMPLETE system specs to be able to offer an opinion. You could download HWMon and run it, it will give you running temps while in windows. I would also suggest running MEMTEST86 for several hours (or until it crashes). PRIME95 is a good stress tester for CPU & ram.

Good Luck!

Power Supply: XFX 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8

like i said i have swapped out ram and ran a test already on this, i have reseated cpu cooler etc, checked connections, taken out hard drives, swapped hard drives over, swapped out ram (tried one stick instead of both and swapped over again to test both), removed GPU completely and just ran on the inbuilt graphics. I have also checked mobo for visible damage to which there is none as far as i can see, am at a bit of a loose end as far as I can go myself unless I take it to a computer shop for them to try and figure out what exactly is causing the error.
