AMD Phenom II Black Edition
Hiper Type R II 880W PSU
Corsair XMS2 DDR2
Asus Nvidia Geforce 560Ti 1GB
Windows 7 64Bit
Raptor HDD

Freezing periodically, when the computer is in use, if i leave it (everything on), it will not freeze.
The freeze forces me to do a reset everytime.

I can leave it on, and not touch it (mouse/keyboard and it wont crash).

Hell i could even play Shogun 2 without it crashing.
reformatted multiple times, to no avail, could be a motherboard driver problem, but i've been using the same driver for years.

It started after a format aswell, numerous formats later, realized it wasn't any of the software i installed as it still happened.

Swapped the Ram around to no avail, running 4GB than my full 8 at the moment.

Happens more on the internet, checking forums etc than anywhere else.

Any help on finding the error would be much appreciated.

Note i havnt changed anything in my system, infact it crashed once and windows wouldnt boot, had to reinstall, but my DVD drive wasnt recognised, it was on SATA 5 which no longer shows in BIOS (cant remember if it did show without a DVD drive connected to it anyway).

DVD drive works, had to put it into another port.

I did O/C before the first format, but i didnt overheat my CPU, it was a light O/C, i didnt change the voltage, and it didnt become unstable, so i dont think that is the cause.

But i would say it's a motherboard/driver fault. Just aint sure

(Sorry if details are sketchy, was rushing as it crashed 3 times while writing this!)

could be something simple like a sata cable, ive seen that a few times, where the computer would randomly freeze, sometimes crashing. changed the sata cables for the ssd, hdd and dvd drive, never had a problem since.... for some reason sata 3 (6 gpbs) cables do not work with dvd drives well, always use a sata 2 cable for these, buy some decent quality sata cables instead of using the ones that come free with the motherboard.

They are akasa ones, that clip into place, i can give it a whirl, maybe try the motherboard ones!, as they have never been used.

Oh i think there Sata 2, had the system running a few years now, no problems, until now, and strangest one i've had

Ok i got a BSOD, as i was burning to a Disc, which is probabaly why i got a BSOD this time rather than just a freeze.

But it doesnt freeze while:

Playing movies in VLC Media Player
While playing games.

Anyone got any expertise in finding the root cause via a BSOD/minidump file?

Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

39 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. Only 15 are included in this report. No offending third party drivers have been found. Consider configuring your system to produce a full memory dump for better analysis.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is actually responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

Never happens while playing Movies/Games It's like when something Hits that certain level it just gives way & crashes.. Above or below it, it works fine..
I'm starting to think graphics driver/card related. More the card itself somehow.
