Hi,
I'm looking for a new generation monitor that can support miniPCI wireless cards.
I know that miniPCI is being discontinued and miniPCI-e is the new standard, but almost all the cards that I use for my experiments are miniPCI and I would like to keep them.
Moreover new cards are still using this format.
However I could not find in the market a mini-ITX motherboard with miniPCI support, just PCI or miniPCI-e.
Can someone point me to a motherboard with those characteristics?

Thank you.
Also the adapter can be a valid choice.
I was thinking about mini-ITX because I would like to place it in a car, so I decided to look for smaller motherboards.
What is the proper form factor choice for my needs?

The card looks like it comes with a standard-height bracket, but is short enough it could probably take a low-profile bracket, so depending on the length of your miniPCI cards, you might be able to fit it in an Antec ISK case. However, I don't know exactly what you mean by placing it in a car - if it's to go in the center column like a car stereo, you might need some special equipment for mounting it, and I'm not sure what kind of card height limitations that would give you. If you just plan to frequently take it with you in the car, you could go all the way up to an EATX full tower case if you wanted, and get a collapsable hand truck to haul it to and from the car.

By placing it in a car I mean put it inside the boot and leave enough space for other equipment.
Yes, full towers are an option but I would stay for smaller sized motherboards for both space and energy
consumption constraints.

In that case, either look for a laptop that still supports miniPCI, or get a mini-itx board and the adapter - you probably already know of some mini-itx boards with pci instead of pci-express. As far as cases go, I think cases smaller than the Antec ISK series wouldn't even fit a low-profile card. If the miniPCI card is long enough that you think it wouldn't fit an ISK, the next size up that I know of is a Silverstone SG05 or SG06.

Thanks! Actually I'm a bit confused with PCI, PCI-e and all the x1, x4, x16
