QuadCore Intel Core i5 750

  7. I'm thinking about buying this one: http://www.komputronik.pl/product/185029/Sprzet_komputerowy_/Podzespoly/GeForce_GTX_650Ti_BOOST_TwinFrozr_MSI_2GB_HDMI_DVI_DSUB_PCI_E_OC_z_NVIDIA_GeForce_Experience_.html

(It's in polish, use google translator)
It's almost identic to gtx 660 without any OC's so I think this is a good idea.
    Any contraindications?
  8. while it's only a little slower than the 660, it's also not a huge jump over your 275.

Handy reference chart - tom's recommends going at least 3 tiers above your current card for significant upgrade.

    enjoy!
  9. Well, on that chart all cards above 650 are pretty expensive.

The 650 Ti Boost is in my opinion really good, look at this two cards,

650 Ti Boost is lower on the chart, yet besides from memory interface (I know it's important) is better than 580. The difference in prices is big, 650 is 180$, and 580 is 260$ on amazon.
  10. Well, I'm leaving this thread for the night. I'll be back in few hours, feel free to post solutions :)

jinayhvora has already offered the best solution. While the gtx 760 was released after the chart was published, it is in the same tier as the 670. @ $250, it is the best card in your price range.

It trades blows with the 7950, occasionally coming out ahead of even the boosted version of the 7950. If you can find a 7950 for $250 or less, it's a viable option as well, but the only way I've seen to do that so far is through mail-in rebates.
  12. Well, I found a GTX 660Ti for 230$. I guess the chipset itself makes a HUGE difference, since all benchmarks show that 660 ti is much better even if 650 ti boost has the same clock speed etc.
  13. the 760 is an improved version of the 660 Ti

Go for it, that's a good card, unless you can find a GTX 760 for the same price - probably not.
  15. +1 for the GTX 760 http://amzn.to/15J0OZX
  16. I bought the 760 superclocked. Thanks for help people!
