Hey guys, I don't really know what to do about it, so could you guys put together a PC for $1300? It needs to include a monitor and opperating system! GO AT IT!

Solution
We'll need some more information before we can make any suggestions:
1: What is the intended use of the system? (gaming, video editing, what?)
2: Where are you buying? (country and state/province needed, city ideal)
3: Do you wish to overclock?
4: Do you require peripherals?
5: Do you have any parts preferences or requirements?

Answering those questions will allow us to make informed suggestions, rather than just trying to guess what you need from your computer.

This is for hardcore gaming, I want to play Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 on ultra no problem.
I am buying from amazon, and I live in the USA.
I don't want to overclock, i'm not into that yet, i'll upgrade if needed.
Like I said, I want to play all my games on Ultra, decent frame rates.
I like the nVidia products for GPUs and I do prefer intel processors, but if you think amd will do me fine, go for it. I need a good motherboard brand, and I would like (not important) to have a Modular power supply.

*How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice*
Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this week (the closer the better)

Budget Range: (e.g.: 300-400) Before / After Rebates; Before / After Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: (e.g.: Folding@Home, gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies)

Are you buying a monitor: Yes / No

Parts to Upgrade: (e.g.: CPU, mobo, RAM) **Include Power Supply Make & Model If Re-using**

Do you need to buy OS: Yes / No
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (e.g.: newegg.com, ncix.com -- to show us selection & pricing)

Location: City, State/Region, Country - we need to know where these parts are being assembled and whether there are good store-only deals available

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to upgrade to Intel CPU)

Overclocking: Yes / No / Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Yes / No / Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: (e.g.: 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200 or if you're upgrading please state what you'd want to get)

Additional Comments: (e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC. Please also list specific software or games you're using)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: (e.g. I'm having trouble running game X or my PSU broke)

Include a list of any parts you have already selected with descriptively labeled links for parts. Please do not post only links.

That's all doable (though it's almost always more ideal to purchase from a variety of vendors, and I would strongly suggest that you do so), but you could potentially save quite a lot with a walk-in or local deal, and I can't advise you on that without knowing, at minimum, your state of residence.

If you can build a PC for $650 including monitor and OS that will max BF3/4, I want to hire you as a full-time employee.

For 13000 dollars this is the best and the beast computer you can build. It can max out any game on 1080p without a problem at all. This is a very good build. Good for everything, this is a beast, so if you can buy it then go for it, no problem.

If you think that the answer helped, then don't forrget to select it as the best answer. It would be highly appreciated by me.

I must humbly disagree, my friend. Given that OP does not wish to overclock, I feel that this would be a more efficient choice:

Stronger GPU, non-overclocking CPU (the -k designation would only add cost, given that you don't want to overclock), faster SSD, much better case, and a better monitor than Sangeet's build.

Almost certainly, but if you're worried about it, you could get a significantly larger PSU for only $20 more:

If that was a pure gaming rig, you overspent by at least $600, likely more. Also, please don't derail advice threads to talk about how cool your build is. I have an i7 and dual overclocked 7970s, but I don't go around interrupting discussions to tell people about it.

My pleasure. I, uh, hope that you're referring to my $1,300 build, however, not his $2,100 build. That thing has overkill coming out its ears.

Edit: Also, should you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to PM me.
