Ok. on friday im ordering a bunch of parts to build my first PC from Newegg. I love the build i chose. however i am worried. This is the first time i ordered parts and though im confident in putting it together i scared of the "service". What are the chances that they will deliver a bad part to me. And what are the chances i can send it back without paying?

Also if they do send me a bad part, how do i know which part it is?besides the power supply. the power supply i think is pretty self explanatory to tell if that does not work. I am a little worried. The first pc i tried to order from bestbuy had a busted video card and i sent it back.

Now im ordering all my parts from a site and i feel like one or 2 of the parts are going to get to me DOA. how often does this happen?

Do you think newegg is deliberately sending you bad parts? It has the same risk as getting parts elsewhere. Newegg has a good RMA policy and they let you send it back for free.

You can always go to your local walmart and buy something off the shelf if you are so paranoid.

as i said before this is my first time. I was asking the chances of getting a bad part. Your comment was not really needed at all. but appreciate the little input you did give afterwards.

Well I have been building computers for many years and I always order from Newegg. Out of all of the parts I have got from them I think I have had one or two parts that were DOA and Newegg had no problem replacing them. I am talking way over 300 parts over the years not really bad average. Do not worry about it as with anything made by man there is going to be a bad part it happens but Newegg is really good about returns so if it does just get the RMA process started and go from there.

And when your parts arrive take your time and build it right go slow and one step at a time. Read what tutorials you can and you will be fine.
