How hard is it to screw up while building a PC?

So I'm getting all of my parts Tomorrow through Monday, and I'm just wondering how hard it is to screw up while putting the parts together? This is my first time, and I don't want to ruin anything.
So does anyone have any tips while building? Tips for removing static, making sure I don't bend anything, the GPU goes in smoothly, anything? I've checked out New Egg's video on building, but I'd like to know if there is anything else I should know.

Solution
The only delicate operation I can think of is installing the CPU. On an Intel platform, you do have to be a little careful not to poke a finger into the socket by mistake. But it's not exactly cardiac surgery.

I suppose you could overtighten the screws when installing the motherboard, but that's really easy to avoid.

And then there's static discharge which you just avoid by not building in a carpeted room and by touching metal frequently or using an antistatic wristband.

Actually putting stuff into sockets is like LEGOs. The front panel connectors can be a bit fiddly, but it's not like anything will break.

As a tech most issues I seen are people snapping off dimm slots clips. Dimm are keyed and slid in nicely one way. If you have a tall case pick up an eight pin atx power cable extension, most of those cables end up short going over the gpu or behind the mb tray.
