I have looked at the checklist on this site first but nothing has worked.

I just built my PC and will not turn on at all, no beep nothing. There Green LED light on the motherboard is on tho as is the video card light. Once when I tried to turn it on the fan moved for about 1 second then died again. Im pretty sure all the cables are right.

Im hoping nothing is broken and i just used a wrong cable somewhere?

I made a quick video just showing the cables.

what lovesX79 has said. Have u used the case standoffs? If I were you, remove EVERYTHING and try from scratch (I personally don't think it could be the psu BUT that's *my* opinion).
On a cereal box place the motherboard (leave cpu, cpu fan in), place ram and gpu, 1 hard drive and power it up. That's what I did when I had the exact same problems. Was indeed a short I was having within the case.
try booting with a single stick of ram plugged in and alternate ram. if it doesnt work, try running with bare minimum and remove the gpu. though from what it sounds like, I think it might be a dead motherboard.(as I had this happen with an older biostar board i sold and RMA'd, which i troubleshooted using a second system to diagnose the parts)

Like I said previously, I have had that before. The light on the board takes a very minor amount of power. So the power supply might be squeezing just enough to light up the board, but not nearly enough to fire it up.

Thanks for the reply, I have taken everything out and put it all back in and everything seems okay. But still doesnt work. How would I actualy fix a short without needing to taken everything out again? I have already checked the stand offs and they seem fine, what else can course a shortage?

Jump start your psu to eliminate that. Unplug everything your power supply is connected to and leave as is. Plug into mains (do NOT switch on) and get a paperclip and bend it into a U shape. Place 1 end into the green wire pin hole (there's only 1 green wire) and the other into any black wire. Switch on from mains or toggle switch and your psu should power up. Do that 1st and report back ;)
