Hello, I've come here to report a slight problem with my internet. I've tested my speed on speedtest.net, http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/2826629465. It tells me i'm supposed to have a 0.70 Mbps speed but I only get 100 kbps on average. The upload speed is also VERY large.

Any help on how to raise it to what t's supposed to be?

What is your advertised speeds from your ISP?

You made it sound like you should be getting .70Mbps download, which is what the test gave you.

If its supposed to be higher, please test with a different server and at different times during the day. Early morning, late night, etc.

One Known bug is the intel Ethernet software bug and there newer chipset. There extra software is known for clogging download speed. If your mb uses intel Ethernet chipset bring up device manager and turn off intel services when you turn the right one off your speed will jump. If it is cause an issue go under add..remove programs and uninstall the Ethernet software package but tell the uninstalled to leave the newer driver on your system.

As a rule of thumb for testing always use your internet service providers speed test site! If they do not provide one the call them and ask them what to use......I always see people using third party websites like speedtest.net to check their speed, this is a bad idea due to the hop cost, latency and busy backbones that their ISP cannot control.
