So i went and bought myself a new hp computer. Got it all set up, no problems. One thing to keep in mind, when I first plugged my monitor in, I put it in "Port 1." Decided it was time to put in my geforce gts 450 graphics card. Plugged it in, no video. So i was a bit confused because it was working earlier today in the computer i was replacing. So I took it out and plugged the monitor back in to "Port 1" on the hp computer, still no signal coming to the monitor. So I moved it to "Port 2" on the hp computer, still no signal. So I called HP and they decided that the computer was the problem and want me to ship it in to have it looked at. Afterwards I decided to continue messing around with it, plugged my old computer back in exactly the way it was before, no signal. The graphics card has 2 ports on it as well, so i tried moving it to port 2 on the back of the graphics card, still no signal. Then I plugged the HP back in graphics card still removed, plugged it in "Port 1" and obviously still no signal. NOW, I move it to "Port 2" on the HP computer and I get a picture. Startled, I now moved it back to "Port 1" to see if that worked. Nope, still no signal. Now to see if the graphics card would work again, I try both ports on graphics card and still no signal. Last time, I moved it to "Port 2" on HP computer and am getting a signal now, however this is the only port that the monitor seems to pick up. Two different computers, 4 different ports. Was working in my old computer with this graphics card earlier today, now it's not. Is it my monitor, the dvi cable, what could it be?

I got a little confused following your story there, but are you using DVI to DVI? Or are you using DVI to VGA (analog)?

No VGA, all are DVI. Basically, I have 4 DVI ports, 2 on the graphics card, 2 on the back of the HP computer. The graphics card was working fine earlier today. But The DVI cable only works in Port 2 on the back of the HP computer, no longer in the graphics card or in Port 1. I just ran to Best Buy to purchase a DVI cable, and issue happens with both of em.

*UPDATE*
From what it looks like, the monitor is only getting a signal from a Dual Link DVI-D port and not from DVI-I Dual Link ports.

Have you remembered to plug in the PCIe power cable to the card? If so, then I too would suspect the motherboard in the new PC is the issue.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, but the issue is happening on the old setup with the old computer, which was working fine earlier today...
