So this is my first computer build that I've ever done.
Right now I've assembled the motherboard, CPU, RAM, Video Card, and PSU. I believe I've connected everthing correctly, but when I short the two pins on the motherboard the fans on the CPU and PSU turn on for a second, then turn off.
I believe the motherboard is shorting out, but I'm not sure where the problem is. The board is sitting on top of the box it came in, so It's definitely not shorting from the touching any metal on the bottom.
I've read through some other posts on here and tried some suggestions but to no avail. If anyone has any advice or tips for me on what I should check I would really appreciate it.

Computer specs:
AMD FX-8350
Asus M5A990FX Pro R2.0
Radeon HD 7870
OCZ 700 Watt PSU (OCZ700SXS)
8GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance
