I need help with wifi it's not coming up on my laptop. Wifi has vanish off of my laptop computer. Please help!

I am unable to connect to my wireless adapter. I have router and my laptop will not pick up the signal. When I go to control panel there is no wireless icon.

Often on newerish laptops there is a set of FN keys, one of which can turn on/off wireless. What make/model is yours? Do you see any pictures of an antennae on your top row of keys?

I DO have an antennae key up top. But it only seems to turn the airplane mode on and off. My settings show the Wifi off and "None available". but everything else in the house, other computers and phones, are fine.
