I have been looking at all the different aftermarket versions of the card and I have watched review video, however, I still am a little confused if there is a difference between each one of if it is just a looks thing. I don't care about super clocked editions or clock speeds, I just want to know if there is any benefit to a specific version like one model keeps the card at a significantly lower temperature. Thanks

Solution
The Asus GTX770 DCU2 is a great card.
- it's IDLE fan noise is the lowest of all 770's
- it has a BACKPLATE (prevents flexing damage and dissipates some heat)
- very good quality build

A lot of the differences come down to the quality of the components used (cooling solution, capacitors, voltage regulators, backplate etc.)

The EVGA ACX card has a great cooler.
However, for the best cooling, you should do a custom loop in your setup.
One thing I will add is that, unless there is a great deal, there is no reason to get the more expensive, higher-clocked version; you will be able to OC to that speed and beyond with any sort of program once you get the card. It is true that the higher-quality cores are used for the factory OCed cards, but you will most likely not see a difference at all.

asus and evga are the best ones either one will get you pretty much the same performance, if you change your mind and want a superclocked one go for the msi lightning. however its probably not worth the extra 50 so asus or evga are going to be your best bet

I disagree. The MSI Lightning card is the most overpriced card on the market, and you will see almost no performance difference (if any at all) from the EVGA SC cards or even the EVGA regular cards.
